HELPsource™ Announces the Winning Selection of A CARING HEART

We received numerous nominations.  Mrs. Abramson personifies the characteristics that qualify her as our “CARING HEART.” As you will read below, her family is grateful to have such a compassionate caring mother!

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY

 MRS. FERNE ABRAMSON

THANK YOU for your “CARING HEART”

This is what Ms. Marla Joseph said about her Mother…….

I am nominating my mother, Ferne Abramson, as A CARING HEART   Ferne has spent her entire life devoted to caring for others.  My whole life my mother took care of our family of 5, nurturing and supporting us until her three children developed successful careers.  My parents always put their kids first, sacrificing their own personal interests so that all three of us could go to law school.  It was their plan to make sure that we were independent so that they could finally focus on themselves and enjoy their twilight years, traveling and pursuing their own hobbies and interests. Sadly, that all changed in April of 2004 when my father, Gilbert Abramson, Esquire suffered a debilitating stroke.  That year was almost unbearable as he fought for his life and surely would not have survived without the support of my mother.  For the next several years their lives were full of occupational and speech therapy and she has helped him to rehabilitate to a remarkable degree.  Unfortunately, despite this progress, my father continues to suffer from aphasia, cannot read, or drive and requires significant amounts of medication.  My mother has proven that she has an inner strength and reserve that I never thought possible.  In the last 5 years she has learned to handle all of the adjustments with medications, different specialists and medical complications along the way, and does it all with grace. It is for these reasons that I truly believe my mom is deserving of this award and I am happy to provide you with any more information about this special person.
